| Flood of Orders, Chery Begins Handing Over 100 Omoda 5 Orders to Customers |
Chery successfully launched their latest model, Omoda 5, earlier this year. The crossover has recorded 1,000 orders from the public. As promised, PT Chery Sales Indonesia started delivering units in April 2023.
In the initial phase, PT CSI handed over 100 units of OMODA 5 to the first 100 customers residing in the Jabodetabek area, during the "Ceremony of OMODA 5 Handover" held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. This handover is part of the initial order phase, for customers who placed their orders during the pre-booking period at IIMS 2023 in February.
"Today, we have handed over 100 units of OMODA 5 out of the total of 300 units scheduled for April. The remaining 200 units will also be delivered in April. Thank you for choosing OMODA 5 as your vehicle," said Shawn Xu, President of PT Chery Sales Indonesia.
Shawn added that the handover of 100 units of OMODA 5 is a manifestation of CSI's commitment to providing the best service to customers. This special handover of 100 units of OMODA 5 is Chery's way of expressing appreciation to customers.
"For CSI, timely delivery of units, closely related to maintaining production duration, is a working standard that we pay great attention to," said Shawn.
During the event, the CSI team also provided a brief explanation of the user guide for features, especially the safety features of OMODA 5. This is done as a standard operational procedure after the unit handover process.
We have increased production, and during April, we will meet the demand for customers who will use it during the celebration of Hari Raya Lebaran. We also strive to produce above production capacity for customers. This is because during the initial pre-booking, there were already 1,000 Vehicle Purchase Orders (SPK), and gradually, we can fulfill them until May," expressed Rendi Radito, Sales Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia.
In this initial production phase, PT CSI assembles the Chery Omoda 5 with the RZ model as the highest variant. Next, Chery will assemble the Omoda with the Z model in the upcoming month of May.
"Omoda is expected to contribute approximately 60% of Chery's total sales, with a production target of 1000 units per month. The production of the Z model will start in May, as there is currently high demand for the RZ model.
